    Newtown looking east. This early view shows the development of residential dwellings in the Dunton and Chapman Street area.  Today, the First Lutheran Church (built in 1930) stands in place of  the rough board shacks pictured in the left hand corner.  The building in the right foreground is now occupied by Pacific Pride.
